Over his career, Shinda, who hails from the village of Dhamai, in the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, has been the backbone for hit albums for artists such as Harbhajan Mann, Madan Maddi, Manjit Pappu, Nachhatar Gill, Amrinder Gill, AS Kang and for his formative and unique relationship with Jazzy B which still runs strong. Since he became a live act himself, he has extensively toured around the world as well as playing melas and festivals alongside the same acts he has produced music for. His live performances feel more like a concert as he wheels off some of his greatest hits and big Bhangra classics at will backed up by a band that has been with him from the beginning. His recent big video track ‘Dil Varda’ with Vancouver’s Harj Nagra furthered his position as a Punjabi singer of global appeal.
