Easily one of the most recognizable voices in reggae, legendary singer Cornel Campbell teams up with UK afro-dub stalwarts Soothsayers for an afternoon of chilled out funk and intoxicatingly soulful vocals. After the triumphant vibes of last year’s collaborative album “Nothing Can Stop Us” in May last year, Soothsayers and Cornell have been touring venues and festivals around Europe, attracting a growing army of supporters along the way.
Campbell’s iconic falsetto singing style has fostered a prolific recording career, working with legendary Jamaican producers Clement Dodd, Duke Reid, Joe Gibbs, Bunny ‘Striker’ Lee, King Tubby and Winston Niney Observer. He is known for hits such as “Queen of the Minstrels”, “Natty Dread In a Greenwich Farm” and “The Gorgon”.
Soothsayers have produced six critically acclaimed albums and have firmly established themselves as a unique force in the UK music scene, with their combination of influences that includes Afrobeat and Reggae, their powerful live shows and their outstanding catalogue of records.
