A risk-taking, water-soaked exploration of the universal need to migrate. This daring large-scale outdoor production weaves together extreme physicality, a stunning soundtrack, intricate imagery and strange yet familiar characters.
In a world of dangers, high seas and troubled lands, CARGO tells the tale of two people and their quest for the perfect place to call home. Filled with adventurers, exiles, conquerors and slaves, CARGO explores the primal urge of humans to leave their country of origin, whether it be for a better life, to escape a past, for a new way of living, or to find... themselves.

The mystical and magical wandering circuses of Rajasthan are a tradition stretching back centuries. This special production takes audiences into their rarely seen world, featuring a fusion of live music, dance, puppetry, theatre and breath-taking circus skills. Kawa Circus tells the story of an itinerant troupe of street performers, arriving with all their materials and charm. Audiences get to share the intimacy of the company, with its tyrannical director, mesmerizing traditional dancer, funambulist (Indian rope walker), athletic acrobats and daring pole-vaulter - while the background musicians providing rhythm and drama are unable to resist poking fun at their colleagues antics. With colorful scenery, fascinating music, rapid costume
changes, hilarious actions and some extreme stunts this is a wonderful feature for the 2010 Edinburgh Mela Festival. An enchanting, colorful, musical journey into a lonely young woman’s wandering imagination. Join Pif-Paf on a journey into a dreamlike circus like you’ve never seen. A strongman lion, kamikaze chickens and a stage shy elephant come together with intricate mechanical puppetry, live music, a unique flying dance duet and a stunning set.
The latest show from this exciting company brings their unique Heath-Robinson world to Scotland for the first time. Get the family, pack your trunk and come along for the ride, oh and be prepared, you may get wet!
