Information
Arriving: at the Mela - the only way into the Mela is from Pilrig Street at the gate nearest Leith Walk.
Leaving: the Mela - the way to leave is through the marked Exit.
Accessibility: the site is fully accessible, though most of the event surface is grass.
Facilities: the site is equipped with toilets, including accessible toilets and a baby changing facility.
Assistance: is available for disabled patrons at the box office and the site entrance.
Disabled Parking: a limited number of parking spaces are available on site for disabled people and are marked on the map. These are accessed from Pilrig Street. All vehicles parked here must display a Blue Badge Permit.
Seating: The Big Top contains a number of seats and there are a limited number of tables and chairs or benches around the rest of the site. Seating is also available at the entrance area.
Information: there is an information point on site where you can access programme details or ask for assistance if you have a query. This also acts as a ‘Meeting Point’ for lost persons. There are also Festival volunteers, staff and stewards throughout the site to help you.
First Aid: there is a medical facility and staff on site.
Litter: please help to keep the site clean by using the facilities provided.
Parking: the Edinburgh Mela Festival is not able to provide a parking facility. Parking in the surrounding area is very limited and will be strictly controlled by parking measures, including vehicle uplift for illegally parked vehicles.
Public Transport: please consider travelling to the Festival by public transport. If you need to travel by car for part of your journey please consider the use of one of Edinburgh's many Park and Ride facilities.
