Come along and see the opening event of the mela festival for free!
Enjoy quality cricket as Iman Cricket Club take on a president's select featuring several saltires cricket players as well as edinburgh rugby players. Alongside the match there will be musical entertainment from pulse of the place samba band as well as several sporting come and try stations. So come along to academy park and enjoy an afternoon of cricket and fun to kick off the mela festival!

Iman Cricket Club are hosting the Mela Tapeball Cricket Tournament on Friday 7 August at Academy Park as part of the Mela cricket day at the ground.
The event will begin at 10am, with three teams playing a round robin tournament at the ground. There will be four games of 12 overs and the children will compete for the first Tapeball trophy. This event is being organised by the Edinburgh club and is supported by Edinburgh's cricket development officer and Saltires star, Gordon Drummond.
Please come along and support the children prior to the main adult game which begins at 4pm.
