Sushil Mangaonkar

In Indian classical dance, the hand gestures or 'Mudras' constitute a mode of conveying the 'sentiment' as well as the narrative. Sushil has chosen to accentuate the traditional role of the 'Mudras' by interpreting them in his own way using non-traditional mediums such as screen-printing. Sushil Mangaonkar is based in Edinburgh and has exhibited his work in UK, Malaysia and India.
